Go check where the Veil Tears used to be to find some treasure, then enter the town for a final confrontation with the Baroness. Once the First is defeated, you reappear in the real world, in the Blackmarsh north of the village, and Justice is a member of your party for the duration. He hits like a runaway train, so keep a very close eye on your health while you're fighting him, and keep using moves like War Cry to keep the small-fry darkspawn off your back. Agree to help him and the villagers against the Baroness to start a fight with a bunch of darkspawn, led by the First. Talk the village watch into letting you in, then search the village for Essences before talking to Justice. Don't forget to open one of the crypts behind her to find a hidden Essence of Constitution. You can fight, Persuade, or Intimidate her, then leave the Crypt via the southern exit. Follow her, opening the coffins to find more Essences and the occasional ghoul, and catch up to the girl. She gives you a new quest: A Maiden in Distress.įollow her into the Crypt and smash the zombies that keep coming out at you. Afterward, head south, searching everywhere for more Essences to boost your stats, to find a young woman right outside the mansion. The good news is that there are Essences all over the place, each one of which gives a permanent +1 bonus to one of your main character's stats.ĭo a quick circuit across the northern edge of the map to find and deactivate three Veil Tear Apparatuses, which will destroy the Veil Tears in the real world. The bad news is that you're surrounded by demons. You're now trapped in the Blackmarsh Undying. As you leave the village going north, you'll receive a new quest: Tears in the Veil.Īs you make your way northeast, fighting Childer Grubs and werewolves, you'll find Kristoff's camp, followed shortly by Kristoff himself. Check the dead Darkspawn for a clue, then search the village for clues, treasure, and codex entries. Head north into the marsh, then turn right into the Destroyed Village. The werewolves that inhabit the Blackmarsh can do a lot of damage in a short period of time, so it's a good idea to have a tank using something like Aura of Insolence to keep them off casters.
